Jan De Jonge
Biography
Jan De Jonge studied Molecular Biology at the University of Brussels. He obtained his master degree in 1988 and worked on Chromatin Structure for several years (IWT grant).
Afterwards, he worked on the treatment of lymphoma in a mouse model using bispecific scFv’s. at the Fysiology department of the University Brussels.
Then he has been working for a short time in the Laboratory of Molecular Diagnostics of the OLV hospital in Aalst.
Next, he assisted the Diabetes Research Group (Beta Cell Neogenesis) from the VU Brussels.
From 2015 until now, he is working in the In Vivo Cellular and Molecular Imaging (ICMI , Prof. Dr. Nick Devoogdt) Laboratory of the University of Brussels. He is responsible for the cloning, production and identification of Nanobodies, used for diagnosis/treatment of several deseases.
