Heleen Hanssens

Some of my greatest interests have always been the progression and the possibilities in the medical world. In order to feed these interests, I’ve chosen to study bio-engineering at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), with a focus on medical biotechnology in the years completing my education. Next, I have obtained a PhD scholarship from the Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (FWO) in applied biomedical sciences. Patient-oriented research with a clear added value is what drives me in research.
